CITYSCAPE LANDSCAPE PROPOSALS FOR BRTS CORRIDOR

Client: Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System
Completion: January 2010

DIMTS Ltd. commissioned us to develop a prototype for an integrated aesthetic for open spaces along the Bus Rapid Transit Corridor. The area chosen for the prototype was under the flyover on Dr. Zakir Hussein Marg. A bold aesthetic was achieved by strong planting bays and raised planters. The design is ecologically sound and includes the use of waste material (crushed glass) on 40% of the site, a 100% permeable site for 0% surface water run-off and an automated irrigation system. In Phase II, DIMTS Ltd. commissioned us to prepare a beautification proposal for the BRT corridor. The proposed scheme responds to the rich cultural heritage that flanks the corridor . The landscape was designed to enable quick installation and easy maintenance
